What is your Carbon Footprint

A carbon footprint is the total amount of CO2 and other greenhouse gases emitted over the full life cycle of a product or service. There are a number of more specific definitions available, and a comprehensive review of definitions can be found in ISA-UK research report 07-01[1]. A carbon footprint is usually expressed as grams of CO2 equivalents, which accounts for the different global warming effects of different greenhouse gases (Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology POST, 2006). The carbon footprint is calculated using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) method.
